Literacy Tip:

Building strong readers doesn’t take hours; just small moments throughout the day.
I encourage you to try these simple tips this week:

1. Car Conversations
Use car rides to build vocabulary.
Ask: “What did you notice today?” or play “I Spy” with letters or colors.

2. Label a Few Items
Place labels on things like door, table, shoes.
Children will start recognizing words in their environment.

3. Family Word Jar
Add new or fun words to a jar.
Pick one each day and try using it in a sentence.

4. Five-Minute Book Break
Read anything: books, signs, menus
  • 5 minutes a day
  • Small moments add up

5. Ask Questions While Reading
Try: “What do you think will happen next?
Makes stories more interactive and boost comprehension.

Parent Tip:
You do NOT need long routines. Remember a few connected moments and every word counts!
